Whew! This thing took forever, sadly. I've never really fully completed a CG, so this kinda counts as my first ^_^; It took a while for me to get everything right!

For those who don't know, this is Howl from the movie Howl's Moving Castle by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky)
His hair gets turned orange because Sophie cleaned up his bath water (which was actually a beauty potion). Then he like... has a conniption because he can't be blonde xD. He's so cute, hehehe.

I'm sorry if this looks nothing like the gorgeous Howl everyone's used to seeing. Two reasons really:

1) I think silly/vain/melodramatic Howl is adorable and severely under-appreciated.
2) I'm trying to figure out what my drawing style is.

I'd like to take this time to point out that the movie is actually based on a book by Diana Wynn Jones. That said, you're an artist, Ash.

Does that mean that I'm supposed to know what it is? I've never heard of the book or the movie. And I know I keep asking it, but how do you know this random stuff, Em?
